— Generations Without Qat
Yemen is facing the biggest humanitarian crisis in the world. 14 million people are at risk of starvation and death due to repeated outbreaks of diseases like cholera (source).
Since 2018, PDA has been responding to the crisis in Yemen. Through our partner Generations Without Qat, and in collaboration with the Presbyterian Hunger Program, the Presbyterian Church (USA) has supported WASH (water, sanitation and hygiene) projects, emergency and transitional shelter, and humanitarian response to famine.
In addition to our response to the crisis in Yemen, we have disbursed grants to our partner in Yemen for COVID-19 response.
