Cost: $35 per person per night
Sleeping Accomodations: This host site is a three story building with 5 rooms. Bunk beds and linens are provided for volunteers.
Shower: La Casona de Monteflores provides showers, hot water heaters, and towels for volunteers to leave.
Kitchen: The kitchen houses appliances, utilities, and untensils to be used by work groups during their stay. There are local supermarkets and resturaunts avaiable for groups to visit as they plan their own menus during their stay.

About the Site: Since 2017, La Casona de Monteflores has been hosting volunteers who come to serve alongside Presbyterian Disaster Assistance. Partnering with the Presbyterian Church, La Casona de Monteflores serves to house volunteers coming to work with long-term recovery groups. Monteflores is a neighborhood located in Santurce, in the north region of San Juan.
About the Disaster: Hurricanes Irma and Maria caused damage to the community. Many houses lost their roofs. Rains and flooding caused several belongings. Torrential rain caused flooding and powerful winds lead to widespread power outages.The work of recovery is ongoing even years later as Hurricane Fiona did more damage across the island in the fall of 2022.
