Monsoon Floods in the Kerala state of India resulted in more than 300 deaths. 14 districts and 776 villages were affected. The hilly terrains of Wayanad and Idukki also bore the brunt of landslides during unprecedented rains and flooding. In total, around 5.5 million people were affected by the floods, with 1.4 million stationed across 5,640 camps.

PDA is working through our partners in ACT Alliance to provide emergency response. Priorities are food security (dry rations kits), non food items (utensils/ground sheets), WASH (water and sanitation for health), restoration of water sources, shelter and livelihood restoration.
