Eusebio Carlitos Lamo, 45, is a construction worker and plans to rebuild his house when he can get materials for it. What scares him now is the spread of cholera in Beira's suburbs. Flooding caused by Tropical Cyclones Idai and Kenneth has affected more than 1 million people in Southern Africa. At this time, the death toll is over 1000.

PDA is responding through its partners in ACT Alliance in Malawi, Mozambique and Zimbabwe to address immediate needs and will be looking to support long term recovery as the needs develop. We are supporting additional assessments to ensure a thorough response.

We are using DR000158 for this response.
