Jaf Bamenjo, coordinator of our partner RELUFA, interviews an IDP beneficiary

In Cameroon, around 80% of the population speaks French, and the remaining spreaks English. Starting in 2016, violence broke out among the Anglophones and Francophones, forcing the Anglophones to flee. This is known as the Anglophone Crisis in Cameroon.

Presbyterian Disaster Assistance has been supporting Cameroonian IDP's (internally displaced persons) and refugees for several years. Not only have we supplied emergency assistance such as food security, WASH (water, sanitation and hygiene) projects, but we have also supported livelihood programs to enable Cameroonian Anglophones to start their own businesses and allow them to have economic autonomy. We have also supported COVID response in Cameroon.
