PDA's Hosting Ministry focuses on the long-term recovery of disaster impacted areas.  By connecting volunteer work teams with rebuilding efforts and host sites around the nation, PDA enables congregations to witness to the healing love of Christ.  It is PDA's mission to bring hope through hospitality.

PDA’s Hosting Ministry prepares presbyteries and congregations to host volunteers. They are offered experienced guidance and support as they prepare their facilities to be a Presbyterian Volunteer Host Sites and engage host site coordinators to help welcome volunteers to their communities.  These congregations serve their communities by welcoming groups who are willing to come to help clean up and rebuild following hurricanes, flooding, wildfires, tornados, or other disasters. The Hosting ministry team equips communities with knowledge, guides churches as they prepare to host volunteers, and support Host Site Coordinators throughout the hosting process. PDA works to make sure that all volunteer work opportunities have case management and construction supervision to ensure safe and meaningful work experiences for all PDA Volunteers.
