El Divino Salvador Presbyterian Church in Corpus Christi will be hosting volunteers willing to help with rebuilding in response to Hurricane Harvey.

Parkway Presbyterian Church in Corpus Christi will be hosting volunteers willing to help with rebuilding in response to Hurricane Harvey.

St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, Beaumont, TX is taking volunteers to help rebuild homes.  They can take teams of up to 25 volunteers.

Pines Presbyterian Church in Houston will be hosting volunteers willing to help with rebuilding in response to Hurricane Harvey.

  • Minimum age 13 with a ratio of adult to youth being two adults per eight youth
  • Maximum team size 20

All Hands

  • Fill out the volunteer application here. After registering, volunteers will receive a confirmation email with a waiver form where you will fill out travel dates.
  • Volunteers are being housed in a large church that can hold approximately 100 volunteers. For no charge, bunk beds with air mattresses and meals are provided.

Fuller Center

  • Register to volunteer here. Please also send an email to Bart Tucker at bartowt@aol.com when you register.
  • Volunteers are being housed at Clear Lake Presbyterian Church in Houston.
  • Minimum age is 16 with a youth to adult ratio of 3 to 1.
  • Maximum team size is 25
  • Food (volunteers will need to help with preparation) is provided.
  • Registration fee is $100/person/week

Hurricane Alex response

First Presbyterian Church of Mission, Texas, is hosting teams willing to help families in the Rio Grande Valley with clean up and rebuilding. Carpentry and plumbing skills are helpful.

A visit and education about the border area can be arranged, depending on schedules.

 


Refugee ministry

First Presbyterian Church of McAllen is hosting volunteer work teams and partnering with the Sacred Heart Welcome Center where “Refugees” (actually Asylum Seekers) usually arrive at the Welcome Center in groups.  Volunteers are needed to greet and assist refugees from Central America and South America brought to Sacred Heart Welcome Center by the US Border Patrol.

  • Adult groups and inter-generational groups are welcome, minimum age for volunteers is 14
  • Maximum team size is 15
  • Spanish language skills are helpful but not essential
