flooding in Myanmar

Floods inundated Myanmar towns including Kalay, Sagaing Region, during the 2015 monsoon season

Torrential monsoon rains, and the aftermath of cyclone Komen, continue to cause flooding throughout Southeast Asia; hard hit are Myanmar and India where at least 160 people are reported dead and thousands of people are displaced.

Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA) is monitoring the situation in collaboration with our mission and ecumenical partners and stands ready for an immediate response with basic humanitarian needs of food, clean water, and shelter. Our partners are currently in the process of doing assessments and identifying specific needs. Some affected areas are difficult to reach.

Please join us in praying for families who have been impacted by these floods.
