The Florida Presbyterian Disaster Assistance Network (FLAPDAN) is a mutually agreed upon partnership between six presbyteries in Florida. This is a unique platform in which PDA can relate to all six presbyteries at once for disaster situational awareness.

FLAPDAN assists presbyteries and churches by providing training in disaster preparedness, response and recovery, along with connections to resources and support for disaster affected communities.

Having this network already in place allows for a mutual support system among the presbyteries when disaster strikes and a more strategic response from PDA, all of which help speed up the response and recovery process.

PDA is a major supporter of FLAPDAN.  This is currently the only preparedness and training program of its kind in the United States with this type of partnership with PDA.
